GENERAL TERMS
a. Ocean 8 is a luxury BC 80 Catamaran operated in Goa for private charters and cruise experiences.
b. By booking a trip, the customer agrees to all terms listed here.
c. These terms apply to all guests, organizers, and users of the yacht.
d. Management reserves the right to update policies at any time.
BOOKING & PAYMENT POLICY
a. A booking is confirmed only after advance payment is received.
b. The remaining balance must be paid before boarding or as per invoice.
c. Unpaid or partially paid bookings will be automatically cancelled.
d. Booking is non-transferable unless approved by Ocean 8 management.
e. Rates may vary on weekends, holidays, or peak seasons.
CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
A. Customer-Initiated Cancellation
a. Cancellation 7 days prior: 50% refund.
b. Cancellation within 7 days: No refund.
c. No refund for late arrival, no-show, or unused charter hours.
d. Advance paid for custom decor, catering, or add-ons is non-refundable.
B. Ocean 8 / Management-Initiated Cancellation
a. If cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions, customers get a 100% refund or free reschedule.
b. Trips may be stopped due to government or Coast Guard restrictions.
c. Technical faults or emergency issues may cause last-minute cancellations.
d. Management decision is final in safety-related cancellations.
BOARDING & GUEST RULES
a. Reporting time is 30 minutes before departure for verification & briefing.
b. Valid ID proof is required for all guests.
c. Cabin shoes or footwear may need to be removed on board.
d. Boarding will be denied to intoxicated or misbehaving guests.
e. Trip duration will not be extended due to late arrival.
f. Captain may deny boarding if a guest seems unfit for sea travel.
SAFETY REGULATIONS
a. All guests must follow captain & crew instructions at all times.
b. Wearing life jackets is compulsory when instructed.
c. Children must be supervised by parents/guardians throughout the trip.
d. Unstable or risky movement on deck is prohibited.
e. Swimming or jumping into the water is not allowed unless approved by the captain.
f. Guests cannot enter the helm, engine room, or technical areas.
DAMAGE & LIABILITY
a. Any damage caused by guests to the yacht or its equipment will be chargeable.
b. Damages include stains, breakage, scratches, burns, or loss of items.
c. Customers are responsible for all guests they bring onboard.
d. Ocean 8/BoatCraft is not responsible for loss of personal belongings.
e. Injury caused due to negligence, alcohol, or unsafe acts is the guest’s responsibility.
ALCOHOL & FOOD POLICY
a. Alcohol consumption is allowed only for guests aged 21+.
b. Outside food or alcohol requires prior permission.
c. Excessive drinking or nuisance behavior may lead to early termination of the trip.
d. Throwing any items (bottles, food, plastic) into the sea is strictly prohibited.

DECORATION & EVENT SETUP
a. Only non-damaging materials are permitted (no nails, glue, confetti, sticky tapes).
b. Real flowers with water bases are not allowed (risk of spills/slips).
c. Decor vendors must coordinate with the Ocean 8 operations manager.
d. Extra charges apply for complex setups or cleaning.
e. Any damage caused by décor material will be billed.
MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT
a. Yacht has an inbuilt sound system; DJs must follow crew instructions.
b. Music volume may be controlled based on local laws and coast guard restrictions.
c. Music must be paused during docking, safety announcements, or emergencies.
d. Professional DJ setups require prior approval.
ROUTE, SPEED & OPERATIONAL CONTROL
a. The captain decides the route based on weather and maritime rules.
b. The route cannot be changed by guests during the trip.
c. Rough weather or tidal changes may require returning early.
d. Extra time is subject to availability and may be chargeable.
e. Ocean 8 will dock at the scheduled time regardless of late boarding.
USE OF EQUIPMENT
a. Guests may not operate kitchen appliances, navigation systems, or controls.
b. Unauthorized access to crew cabins or technical rooms is prohibited.
c. Power sockets may only be used for safe, low-watt devices.
d. Misuse of onboard systems can lead to penalties.
PHOTO & VIDEO USAGE
a. Guests may take personal photos and videos.
b. Commercial shoots require prior approval.
c. Ocean 8 may use general footage of yacht interiors for marketing.
d. Personal guest photos will not be used without consent.
FORCE MAJEURE
a. Ocean 8 is not liable for delays or cancellations due to
Weather
Natural calamities
Coast Guard or government orders
Mechanical issues
Medical emergencies
b. In such cases, rescheduling or refunds will be handled as per policy.
INDEMNITY
a. All guests sail at their own risk if engaging in unsafe behavior.
b. Customers indemnify Ocean 8, BoatCraft, captain & crew from claims caused by guest negligence.
c. The company is not liable for actions caused by third-party vendors engaged by customers.
GOVERNING LAW
a. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
b. Jurisdiction falls under the state of Goa.
c. All disputes shall be settled under maritime and tourism regulations of Goa.
